SLOW COOKER WHOLE ROAST CHICKEN

Ingredients
- 1 5 lb roasting chicken
- 1 large onion
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
Instructions
- Quarter one onion and place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Rinse chicken and pat dry.
- Rub the olive oil all over the chicken.
- In a small bowl mix paprika, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Rub spice mixture all over chicken including inside ( I use latex gloves lol).
- Sprinkle with pepper.
- Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 7 hours.
Notes
Use a 6-7 quart slow cooker.
