Today I’ll show you the “simple” version of Fanni Stitch , you can easily change the pattern.

  • Sew the dress as shown in the cut pattern, and you have a nice neck with a slit on the arm (the arm you see below in the black-gray dress – more pictures to follow)
  • Just lengthen the arms and just sew the hem down, and you have a classic arm (blue dress) -> to lengthen the arm just take a long sleeved shirt from you and put it on the cut pattern. Extends the cut pattern from the arm as long as from your shirt plus 2 cm close-up detail
  • In addition you can sew both variants as a shirt. Just put a shirt on the front of the cut pattern and shorten it where your shirt stops, plus 2 cm Nahtzugabe.

This time I even managed to calculate the material consumption 🙂

Material consumption:

You need stretchy fabric (width 150cm), best jersey. For the larger sizes, there is a breast ditch inside the cut pattern, so it is more beautiful 🙂

  • Gr. 36: 170cm
  • Gr 38: 175cm
  • Gr. 40: 180cm
  • Gr. 42: 185cm
  • Gr. 44: 190cm
  • Gr. 46: 200cm
  • Gr. 48: 210 cm

If you work with stretchy fabrics, use an overlock or a jerse needle and an elastic stitch on a normal sewing machine.

First the cut pattern is transferred to the fabric and then cut out. The close-up is already included in the cut pattern.

Close the shoulders. To do this, place the front and back part on the right side to the right and close the two short seams at the top.

Fold the fabric strip to the right side to the right and sew the short open side

Now the fabric strip is pinned to the neckline of the dress right to the right. The seam of the fabric strip is centered on the back part.

Fold the fabric strip inwards, so that the fabrics lie to the left on the left and iron the whole one once. Now sew the neckcover from the outside, about 1 cm from the edge. There are two possibilities. For untrained folds simply fold in and stomp. If this is too unclean, you can change the document inside a small bit and then sew. This looks cleaner from inside, but is not visible in the end 🙂

Take an elastic stitch if possible.

Now close the two long sides.

Close the seam allowance at the hem (outside = when the fabric is still on the right side!) And tighten.

Turn on the dress and straighten it from the right side.

Place the cuff with the left side facing up. Close the seam allowance at the short ends on the back and then fold the piece of fabric in the middle so that it is a narrow, long piece in front of you. Now stitch the short butt ends on the right and left.

Place the armlet on the arm. Here you have on the cut pattern auxiliary lines where the sleeve seam and where the open end of the arm is to be, what you now sewn. For the fabrics, which are right now from the right from the right once round …

… and round sewn around. Who likes the cuff once again, after it has folded down.
